We know you recognize the value of Adventist education and desire to send your students to RVAA, therefore continuing in the 2017-2018 school year; we will be using a company, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, to help us determine the tuition needs of our school families. By using this resource we can better disburse the worthy student funds available. The amount of money available for helping worthy students will not change significantly only the way we gather information to make a decision. Through this same application, the constituent churches will also be using the information to make their respective student aid decisions. It needs to be made very clear that the Academy and the local churches will still be making the decisions on the money disbursement. We will only be using the information we receive from FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to help us make the decisions.
RVAA will only accept applications for student aid through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. We recommend you start early on the application process so you will be ready for the start of school in August 2017.
Applicants can apply online beginning April 30, 2017.
Completed applications and necessary supporting documentation must be submitted to FACTS by June 30, 2017.
FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will require following information:
- Completed application.
- Payment of the $30 application fee.
- (Due to state & federal regulation changes: RVAA will NOT refund you the cost of the application fee.)
- Copies of your most recent tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
- Copies of your 2016 W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.
- Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, etc.
Please also remember families wishing to be considered for tuition assistance are required to attend a Financial Peace seminar. The seminars are run by the local constituent churches. Please call the churches to get information regarding the next scheduled Financial Peace Seminar.
