The junior high years provide unique opportunities for impacting students’ mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical maturity and growth and for guiding students to become Christian leaders. The curriculum for junior high, across subject areas, offers distinctive practice in critical thinking, time management, and responsibility to help prepare students for their high school years. With a biblical perspective, teachers plan rigorous and relevant lessons with high academic expectations. At the same time, lessons are designed to incorporate brain-compatible strategies, and consideration is given to student learning styles. A climate of Christian compassion is fostered and serves as the foundation for all academic learning.
